Horry County, SC seeks a Victim Advocate to assist primary and secondary victims and witnesses. The role involves crisis counseling, coordinating with law enforcement and court systems, and referring clients to community resources.

The incumbent will maintain confidentiality, operate 24/7 on-call support when needed, and liaise with other criminal justice agencies to support victims and families through investigations and case follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and five years of public-facing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Assist primary and secondary victims and witnesses of crimes in Horry County.
• Provide immediate and temporary crisis counseling as needed.
• Refer victims to community service organizations and agencies.
• Assist victims/witnesses through the criminal justice system.
• Maintain case logs and confidentiality; coordinate with law enforcement and judiciary.
