The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services for patients, visitors, and guests while meeting the standards outlined by ABM and the Hospital. Must be able to drive stick shift.
On Call Part Time position
Pay: 17.53/HR
The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinate traffic flow in valet lanes and hospital porte-cochere.
- Maintain the front driveway congestion-free through traffic control, monitoring illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles.
- Greet all guests; inquire about destination; give directions.
- Inform guests of Hospital valet and self-park options, relevant services, hours of operation, and after-hours key retrieval.
- Assist employee and transport van drop-off and pick-up in loading/unloading areas and direct deliveries to appropriate areas.
- Organize "next car parked" and distribute keys to the valet team.
- Authorize valet breaks and communicate shift change needs.
- Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues.
- Identify and arrange for support during extended wait times.
- Accurately tally and split the tip pool.
- Receive and receipt various valet payments.
- Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile cash, check, coupons, vouchers, and management-approved parking.
- Project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary.
- Operate, park, and retrieve vehicles safely during peak times, obeying traffic laws and policies.
- Ensure outstanding service by greeting and thanking guests.
- Assist guests with car doors, wheelchairs/strollers, and belongings.
- Keep work area clean of debris.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate valet information clearly to hospital patients and guests.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Lift, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
- Full range of motion including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License with MVR meeting company guidelines.
- Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Proficient in English for communication and reading.
