Job summary

Redwood Private Security is seeking an On-call Security Officer (Unarmed) to cover Wed-Sun 2:00pm-10:30pm in California. The role includes patrols, lobby desk duties at times, and professional interaction with staff and clients.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, documenting incidents, and maintaining a high standard of appearance and conduct while coordinating with supervisory and client contacts. CA guard card, driver's license (if driving), and U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• U.S. High School graduate or equivalent
• Possess a valid CA Driver's License with clean DMV history (for driving positions)
• Possess and maintain a valid CA Guard Registration (guard card)
• Have the legal right to work in the United States
• Fluent in written and spoken English (fluency in other languages a plus)
• Ability to read, write and understand written orders, policies, procedures, and how to apply them
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative while carrying out duties

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Patrol assigned facilities and maintain general security as described in Post Orders.
• May be assigned to an office/ lobby desk position at some facilities.
• Demonstrate professional communications with co-workers, vendors and city staff.
• Respond to emergency calls including fire and damage to property.
• Respond to security related complaints and ensure proper documentation is completed as per policy.
• Generate and submit electronic Incident Reports, parking warnings, and Maintenance reports using a mobile application.
• Work under general supervision of Site Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, and/or Client Manager.
• Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional demeanor.
