Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking temporary/on-call catering bartenders to provide exemplary drink service at George School in Newtown, PA. You will greet guests, mix beverages, pour wine and beer, and maintain a clean, organized bar area for special events.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of bartending or catering experience, possess strong communication skills, and be able to pass an FBI background check. TIPS certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Pass FBI background check.
• 1-2 years of bartending or catering experience.
• Familiarity with state and local laws regarding sale of alcoholic beverages.
• TIPS Certification preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and duties.
• Ability to carry 30lbs+ and stand for 5-6 hours.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve mixed alcoholic beverages and other beverages.
• Greet and interact with customers with a positive attitude.
• Pour wine and serve beer and other drinks.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Operate cash registers, take payments, and give change.
• Maintain bar inventory for smooth service.
• Keep workstation clean and sanitized.
