Job summary

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes at the times designated, and follows the lesson plans.
• Checks the class roll and records attendance.
• Maintains routine and supports individual student needs and abilities.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
• Encourages student behavior and maintains classroom discipline.
• Notifies a neighboring teacher or principal for assistance when needed.
• Notifies the principal of student medication needs.
• Leaves a summary of work covered and notes for follow-up.
