Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West - The Bridge Program in Oregon, OH seeks reliable Substitute Teachers to support schools when regular teachers are absent. You will follow lesson plans and assist students with diverse needs, including those with IEPs and 504 plans.

This role is part-time/on-call with pay of $200 per day. Requires a bachelor's degree, valid substitute teaching license, and the ability to maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment while collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; non-degreed opportunities available for students in education programs
• Valid substitute teaching license or higher as per state regulations
• Ability to follow established lesson plans and adapt instruction when necessary

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on lesson plans and classroom routines
• Support students with diverse needs including IEPs/504 plans
• Implement accommodations and behavior support strategies as outlined in plans
• Maintain a structured, positive, respectful classroom environment
• Assist students with academic tasks and mobility or personal care when needed
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff
• Monitor student progress and behavior and document information for the returning teacher
• Use classroom management strategies to promote engagement and minimize disruptions
• Communicate professionally with staff and administrators regarding student needs
