Job summary

RSU5 (DURHAM-FREEPORT-POWNAL) is seeking substitute teachers and substitute Ed Techs to cover teacher absences on a day-to-day, on-call basis. Substitutes may be assigned to various grades and subjects and must be available to work when they indicate they are available.

Pay is set at $150 per full day and $75 per half day (3.5 hours or less) with flexible scheduling, and CHRC certification through the Maine Department of Education is required before employment.

Qualifications

• Valid CHRC from Maine Dept. of Education.
• On-call, day-to-day availability is required.
• Must be flexible to work with various grades and subjects.

Responsibilities

• Fill in for absent teachers or vacancies as assigned.
• Accept half-day or full-day assignments as offered.
• Maintain professionalism and adapt to different classrooms.
