The Academy of Scholars in Decatur, Georgia, is seeking a dependable substitute teacher. This role involves working at a college prep private Christian school for advanced learners. The ideal candidate must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have experience with children.

Candidates should also be technologically literate due to the school's one-to-one technology model. Substitute teachers will be called on an as-needed basis and must be flexible with scheduling, often receiving short notice.

Compensation is $16.25 per hour or $130.00 per day. Interested applicants must be fully vaccinated and complete a background check.

Dependable individual needed to work as substitute teacher at The Academy of Scholars, a college prep, private, Christian school located in Decatur, Georgia. The Academy of Scholars services children in PK4 through 6th grade. We are a school for advanced learners.

Interested individuals must have at least a bachelor’s degree and must have experience working with children. Because we are a one-to-one technology school and all textbooks are digital, interested individuals must also be technologically literate. We provide a nurturing, loving environment and employ only individuals that can meet that standard.

As a substitute teacher, you will be placed on a call list and will only be contacted when needed. We will always strive to provide at least 24 hours’ notice, but if that does not occur, we will contact you by 7:00am the day of need so flexibility is desired.

The pay is $16.25 an hour ($130.00 a day). All interested applicants must be fully vaccinated and will have to provide a background check done by a local police department.
