Job summary

Bristol Bay Native Association is seeking a temporary on-call position to assist in preparing and serving meals for children while complying with Head Start Performance Standards and food safety regulations. Responsibilities include preparing nutritionally balanced meals for up to 75 children, maintaining a safe food service operation, and ensuring proper documentation.

The ideal candidate should have a Food Worker Card, experience in food preparation for children, and meet health regulations. The position is based in Dillingham at the VAL Family Resource Center.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated enjoyment of and experience in preparing food for large groups of children.
• Food Worker Card Certification prior to or upon hire.
• Current physical, TB screening, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for children.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with food service regulations.
• Keep written records including purchases, inventory, and meal counts.
