Job summary

Tanque Verde Unified School District is seeking dependable individuals to join our transportation team as Substitute School Bus Drivers. This on-call, part-time role covers athletic events, field trips, and other approved activities.

Candidates must meet Arizona requirements for school bus driver certification, hold or be able to obtain the necessary Arizona driver's license and endorsements, and complete the district's training and certification process.

Qualifications

• Arizona driver certification per state requirements.
• Valid Arizona driver's license with appropriate school bus endorsements.
• Arizona Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on athletic, field trip, and special-event trips.
• Transport students and passengers to and from designated destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment for students.
• Report accidents and safety issues promptly.
• Complete required transportation records and inspections.
