Base pay range

$64,400.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an on-call archaeologist to work on various projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Responsibilities include providing cultural resources support for planning, engineering, and construction services to clients in renewable energy, government, military, transportation, and commercial sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with laws like NHPA, ARPA, NEPA, NAGPRA, and state regulations, under the guidance of senior cultural resources staff.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of archaeological field experience, including construction monitoring and collaboration with tribal monitors
  • Knowledge of historic preservation laws and policies (NEPA, NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA)
  • Familiarity with Colorado or Wyoming state regulations and cultural resource policies
  • Experience with GPS technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work long hours in various conditions and travel frequently
  • Experience leading field crews and working independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in research, literature reviews, cartographic reviews, and report writing
  • Experience in artifact analysis and site documentation
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and consulting environment exposure
