Job summary

Landscape Design Concepts is seeking a part-time, seasonal Snow Shoveler to help keep commercial properties safe during winter. The role requires on-call availability for snow and ice events at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts varying by storm duration and site needs.

Workers will shovel snow, operate snow removal tools, and follow safety procedures on multiple sites. A valid driver’s license is preferred, and compensation includes a guaranteed minimum pay and

Qualifications

• Dependable and safety-minded with ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
• On-call throughout the winter season for snow and ice events; some scheduling flexibility may be possible.
• Able to work extended periods in extreme winter conditions, lift 50 pounds, and perform continuous physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clear snow from walkways, driveways, steps, entrances, ramps, and other designated areas at commercial properties.
• Use shovels, snow blowers, and salt-spreading equipment as assigned, following site-specific instructions and safety procedures.
• Work with crew, follow direction from crew leader, and communicate with site or route Supervisors and staff.
• Inspect equipment before, during, and after snow events; maintain fuels and fluids and change attachments when required.
• Load and unload salt bags and fill sidewalk spreading equipment as assigned.
• Pickup assigned equipment at a predetermined location and follow routes or work instructions.
• Complete assigned work safely and efficiently and use a smartphone for communication and reporting.
