Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant (PRN, On-Call) in Houston to assist in developing resident activity programs and to facilitate group and individual activities. You will help organize calendars, coordinate with other departments, and communicate programs to residents and families, while supporting a vibrant, person-centered activity schedule.

The role emphasizes caring for seniors, adherence to policies, and maintaining lines of communication with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to engage residents with different interests and abilities.
• Willingness to lead crafts, games, discussions and other activities.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing resident activity programs.
• Facilitate group activities and 1-1 visits.
• Organize activity supplies and calendars.
• Coordinate activities with other departments.
• May drive company vehicles for outings.
• Communicate programs to residents and families.
• Prepare monthly Life Enrichment calendars reflecting residents' interests.
