Job summary

Trimble County Schools in Bedford, Kentucky is seeking a Substitute Custodian to support maintenance, sanitation, and safety of the school plant and grounds.

The role reports to the Principal and requires a HS diploma or GED, custodial experience preferred, and proficiency with cleaning equipment and chemicals. Starting date is immediate; salary is commensurate with the district's Classified Salary Schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in custodial work preferred.
• Proficient with custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and floors.
• Handle trash and recycling disposal.
• Perform general cleaning of classrooms, offices, cafeteria, gym, and related areas.
• Open areas and turn off night lights in the morning.
• Report vandalism and safety concerns to administration.
• Maintain and replace light bulbs and adjust site heating/cooling as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment as required.
• Communicate repairs needed to Principal or Plant Maintenance.
