Job summary

Substitute Custodian position at Sheridan School District responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of inside and outside school areas during the day and assisting staff. The role includes minor repairs, setup for events, and coordination with the day custodian.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• 1–3 years of custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, methods, and materials.
• Some knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC helpful.

Responsibilities

• Cleans open and common areas during the school day.
• Monitors and restocks restroom supplies.
• Performs seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintains custodial supply inventories and equipment closet.
• Sets up for groups and events as needed.
• Performs minor building, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Opens the building in the morning.
• Handles outdoor duties such as snow removal and lawn care.
• Moves furniture and assists day custodian as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
