Job summary

A local school district is seeking a Substitute Custodian for the 2025-2026 school year. This part-time position requires candidates to have a high school diploma and previous cleaning/maintenance experience. Responsibilities include cleaning various areas, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safe practices. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and be able to pass background checks. Competitive hourly pay of $14 is offered along with health benefits.

Qualifications

• Experienced in cleaning/maintenance with verifiable previous experience.
• Must pass BCI & FBI background checks within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Clean furniture, fixtures, walls, windows, lockers, and light fixtures.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Bend, balance, stoop, stretch and climb as needed.

Skills

Physical capability to lift up to 70 pounds

Knowledge of safe practices and sanitary cleaning procedures

Familiarity with building systems (alarms, HVAC)

Ability to read MSDS information
