Job summary

Bath County Public School District in Warm Springs, Virginia seeks a Substitute Custodian to help keep the school buildings and offices clean and in good repair. You will perform routine cleaning, light maintenance, and assist with heating and cooling equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, dusts and vacuums assigned areas.
• Disinfects toilets, cleans fixtures, and maintains sanitary conditions daily.
• Cleans windows and performs routine maintenance and painting.
• Replaces air filters and notifies when major repairs are needed.
• Cleans snow, lawns, and performs other duties as assigned.
