Desch is seeking an On Call Cleaning Specialist to support multiple buildings district-wide. The role involves maintaining classrooms, hallways, gyms, and cafeteria spaces, and assisting with summer projects under the Facilities Manager.

The position contributes to a safe, welcoming school environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning, dusting, trash removal, event setup, and light lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including light lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining classrooms, learning areas, hallways, gyms, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and emptying trash.
• Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and equipment for school and athletic events.
• Cleaning and preparing cafeteria and lunch areas.
• Assisting with summer projects, including deep cleaning, classroom preparation, painting, and other building maintenance as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Performing light lifting and other custodial duties as needed.
