Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools is seeking a Cafeteria Worker Substitute for the Marlborough area for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the Cafeteria Manager and offers the opportunity to contribute to student meals and community food service operations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred but not required) and a bilingual capability in Spanish or Portuguese. Responsibilities include meal prep, basic cleaning, stock management, and support across cafeteria tasks

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
• Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred
• Basic knowledge of math
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals for delivery in the community and lunches for students if necessary in school
• Wash pots/pans, etc.
• If needed stock milk and other supplies
• Wash down tables
• Assist in wiping down cafeteria area
• Assist in sweeping floor
• Assist with other duties as necessary– see Manager
