Job summary

Butts County Schools is seeking substitute bus driver candidates to join our transportation team. You will perform assigned duties in the absence of the School Bus Monitor on an on-call basis, ensuring student safety and reliable service.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), be at least 21 years old, and have or be willing to obtain a CDL with P and S endorsements; background checks will be completed for all approved substitutes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 required (e.g., driver's license, birth certificate).
• Minimum of 2 years driving experience preferred.
• Background checks are completed on all approved substitutes.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned duties in the absence of the School Bus Monitor on an as needed, on-call basis.
• Substitutes must work at least three (3) days per semester to remain on the active substitute list.
• Willingness to obtain a valid CDL with P and S endorsements with satisfactory driving record as indicated by a current three year MVR.
