Job summary

The Principia School in St. Louis, MO is seeking an on-call School Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for students during the school year. Reporting to the Facilities team, you will help ensure smooth transportation for field trips, athletics, and activities, while maintaining professional standards and safety.

This role is on-call with guaranteed pay for each accepted trip. A valid license and CDL endorsements are required or obtainable with training; background checks and drug

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDL with required endorsements (training provided).
• Background checks, physicals, and drug/alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates school buses and other approved passenger vehicles for field trips and school activities.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensures student safety by following transportation procedures and responding to emergencies.
• Maintains driving records, inspections, mileage logs, and transportation documentation.
• Communicates professionally with students, faculty, coaches, staff, and trip leaders.
• Adheres to applicable regulations and reports issues promptly.
