Job summary

Patagonia in Reno, NV is seeking an On-Call Safety & Security Specialist to monitor sites, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe, inclusive workplace.

You will work flexible shifts, coordinate with team, and ensure compliance with OSHA and Fire laws, with duties including access control and logging.

This role requires 2+ years in security or related fields, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain the Nevada PILB Guard Card.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years combined experience in physical security, law enforcement, military, community outreach, customer service and/or emergency response coordination.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing racial justice and equity.
  • Ability to pass a criminal records check.
  • Ability to obtain Nevada PILB Guard Card.
  • Ability to pass and maintain 1st Aid, CPR & AED certifications.

What You’ll Do / Job Functions

Experience You Bring / Job Requirements


  • 2+ yearscombinedexperiencein physical security, law enforcement, military, community outreach,customer service and/oremergency response coordination.

  • Be at least 18 years of age with at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and lift upto 50lbs.

  • Ability to learn, understand and apply basic OSHA and Fire laws.

  • Basic computer skills & knowledge (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).

  • Knowledge & understanding of CCTV systems.

  • Knowledge & understanding of access control systems (Brivo).


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and carry for up to 50 feet.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Bending, lifting, and chopping repetitively throughout the day.

  • Ability to work in a small physical space that can be loud at times.


Schedule

This position requires open availability to work 8 or 12-hour shifts, Day, Swing and Graveyard, Monday-Friday and/or weekends.
