Job summary

The Washington Department of Corrections is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 On-Call (RN2) for the Olympic Correctional Center in Forks, WA. This on-call/intermittent role requires availability across day, swing and graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

RNs provide health care services to incarcerated individuals, perform assessments, coordinate referrals, and support transition and safety.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Washington state.
• Unencumbered multi-state license per Nurse Licensure Compact (if applicable).
• WA RN license prior to employment; unrestricted licensure.
• One year RN experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing services to incarcerated individuals.
• Screen, assess, and respond to health care needs in a timely manner.
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks; coordinate referrals and follow-up.
• Provide health information and counseling to patients.
