Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Iowa State permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic general radiology following safety standards and operate imaging equipment.
• Consult with physicians/radiologists as necessary and examine images for quality and usefulness.
• Instruct patients regarding procedures and monitor vital signs during examination.
• Apply radiation protection per department policy and adjust exposure per patient needs.
• Deliver diagnostic images to radiologists for interpretation and ensure competency in general radiology.
