MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a part-time Radiology Technician to support the radiology department with per diem scheduling. The role involves assisting physicians in procedures, educating patients on diagnostic testing, and ensuring safe, accurate radiographic exams.

Active ARRT certification and an Iowa Permit to Practice are required, with BLS to be obtained within 3 months of hire. Previous experience preferred and candidates should demonstrate compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Active ARRT certification (ARRT) is required.
• Active Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
• Previous radiology experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and caring in line with Trinity Health mission.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians or radiologists in specialized procedures.
• Provide patient, family, and nursing education on diagnostic testing.
• Utilize critical thinking in daily and emergent assessment of proper exam protocol.
• Examines any human body part for use in the diagnosis of medical problems.
• Demonstrate compassion, empathy and respect to customers and co-workers.
• Observe safety precautions when handling patients to produce clear radiographs.
• Assess each patient for proper exam prep and appropriateness of each exam.
• Follow exam protocols for the Radiology Department.
