Qualifications

• Active Radiography certificate from the State of Florida required.
• Must pass ARRT(R) examination as part of credentialing.
• If assigned to Women Imaging, obtain (M) Certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures per scope and standards.
• Analyze images and identify quality issues; reposition and re-image when needed.
• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient about procedures.
• Take on-call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues.
• Charge for supplies and code exams; administer contrast/media when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes; ensure patient comfort.
