Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will perform daily repairs, prep vacant units, and respond to service requests, including on-call duties.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, plus handyman experience and strong communication skills. We offer full-time hours, competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for daily repair and upkeep of the property and preparation of vacant units for occupancy.
• Maintain and inventory supplies and equipment.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain a professional appearance with the property uniform.
• Operate in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Secure the maintenance shop at close of day.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and respond to service requests within 24 hours.
