Wheeler Clinic seeks an Overnight Clinician for its Mobile Crisis Intervention Services program. The role involves comprehensive crisis assessment and intervention for children aged 0-17, with a focus on preventing multiple admissions to care settings. Candidates should have relevant Master's or Doctoral degrees and clinical licensure or eligibility in Connecticut. This is a full-time, on-call position with community engagement responsibilities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Overnight Clinician provides crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization clinical and case management services for children from birth through age 17. The clinician will respond in the community to provide crisis intervention services and safety planning. May work with emergency departments, inpatient units, and congregate care providers to identify and coordinate crisis and diversionary planning for high-needs youth, aiming to prevent multiple admissions to such settings and promote the use of MCIS to coordinate intensive plans for high-needs youth.
SALARY
Starting salary: $44,000
LOCATION
Remote position; however, the clinician will need to go into the community catchment area on an on-call basis.
SCHEDULE
Full-time, overnight on-call position. Hours will vary and will be discussed in the interview.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling.
Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions
Must hold one of the following credentials to start employment: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC, or be a licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in Connecticut.
Valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to operate a vehicle safely in the community based on program needs.
