Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an experienced transplant coordination professional to lead the donor-to-transplant process. You will oversee on-call coverage, communicate with OPTN contractors, physicians, and procurement teams, and ensure timely, compliant donor operations at University Hospital – Doan Hall.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a biological sciences field or equivalent experience in organ transplantation.
• 3 years of progressive experience in organ transplantation or related field required or one year as Organ Recovery Specialist-1 at OSUWMC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate donor operation logistics, travel and perfusion for deceased donor organs.
• Mobilize procurement team and secure transportation for the procurement team.
• Coordinate all aspects of recipient OR logistics and communicate with OR staff and surgeons.
• Develop and review policies to comply with OPTN and regulatory requirements.
• Provide on-call coverage and coordinate with host OPO and transplant staff.
