Qualifikationen

• CPR certification is required.
• On-call availability within fifteen minutes.
• Experience or training as an operating room technician is preferred.
• Certification as a CST is desirable but not required.

Aufgaben

• Assist the surgical team during basic operating procedures.
• Prepare and inventory sterile setup of operations; pass instruments as needed.
• Assist in patient preparation, movement, and cleanup of the operating room.
• Conduct sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure no foreign material remains in wound.
• Prepare specimens for analysis as needed.
• Washes instruments for sterilization and maintains universal precautions.
