Kaiser Permanente is seeking an on-call Optometry Assistant to support the Optometrist in delivering patient-focused eye care. The role involves preparing examination rooms, pre-screening patients, and assisting with data entry and clerical tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, experience with vision screening, and a background in optical/retail customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to conduct recent visual fields, NCT, and other vision screening.
• Optical and vision service background including customer service/retail experience.

Responsabilités

• Assist Optometrist in patient care and data documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits.
• Greet patients and guide them to pre-screening or examination areas.
• Explain fees and co-payments and handle basic clerical duties.
• Support in orientation and training of new staff as needed.
