Job summary

Sequoia Living is seeking an On Call Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, and medication-related tasks. The role involves recording vitals, assisting with admissions, and coordinating with the clinical team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma, current CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within 60 days, and CA RCFE Medication Technician certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• CA RCFE Medication Technician certification required to perform Med Tech duties.
• Experience with geriatric population and cognitive deficits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and monitor conditions.
• Assist with ADLs, hygiene, grooming and mobility.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assist with feeding and chart intake of food and fluids.
• Maintain basic reports and communicate with licensed staff.
• May assist with medications per policy and double-check controlled substances.
