Description

The Speech Therapist manages and provides skilled speech/language pathology to patients and clients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, taking into account individual patient or child’s special physical or age‑related needs. The role requires skills in patient evaluation and treatment, as well as professional consultation to achieve maximum independence in accordance with each patient’s functional level and potential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech/Language Pathology Program or equivalent education/experience
• Ph.D. from an accredited Speech/Language Pathology Program or equivalent education/experience
• Specialized speech/language pathology training to meet a particular department need
• Oregon Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire
• Specialized speech/language pathology experience may be required for certain department needs
