Magellan Health is looking for a Personal Financial Counselor in Dallas, TX, to provide personal financial counseling services to military members and their families. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, financial planning, and managing personal financial management workshops.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least 3 years of financial counseling experience, and possess necessary certifications. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years may be considered.
• At least 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen who speaks fluent English; bilingual in Spanish if required.
• Certification: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
• Valid driver’s license (DL).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling, briefings, and presentations.
• Consult with commanders and coordinate with military Points of Contact.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans.
• Develop and distribute financial materials.
• Provide Personal Financial Management classes and workshops.
• Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol.
