Job summary

The Christian Broadcasting Network is seeking a professional Make-Up Artist & Hairstylist in Virginia Beach, VA to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced stylist with a cosmetology license to create quality make-up and hairstyles for our on-air talent, supporting CBN’s mission.

This on-call position offers early-morning, flexible hours with a salary range of $25-$30 per hour. Final compensation depends on education, experience, and demonstrated skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a hairstylist for on-air talent preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience as a makeup artist for on-air talent preferred.
• Experience with ethnic hairstyles and styling techniques.
• Strong makeup design and application knowledge.
• Hair styling, cutting, tinting, coloring, and bleaching knowledge.
• Familiarity with Paul Mitchell color system.

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), a leader in Christian media, is looking for a professionalMake-Up Artist & Hairstylist in Virginia Beach, VA to join our team. This is an opportunity for an experienced Stylist with acosmetology license from any stateto use their skills creating quality make-up and hairstyles for our on-air talent. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

This position is an on-call position with early morning, flexible hours. The salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a hairstylist for on-air talent preferred
• 5+ years working as a make-up artist for on-air talent preferred
• Experience working with ethnic hairstyles and styling techniques
• Strong working knowledge of makeup design and application
• Strong working knowledge of hair styling, cutting, tinting, coloring, and bleaching
• Working knowledge of the Paul Mitchell color system
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including very early mornings
• Ability to work with on-camera talent
• Ability to think creatively
• Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
• Ability to interact with staff in a positive, professional manner
• Good manual dexterity with ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s non-profit Christian mission
