Paragon Properties, LLC. is seeking an On-Call Maintenance Service Technician for Southfield and Troy areas. The role involves handling service requests, preparing apartments for occupancy, and ensuring property condition and safety. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills are essential.

HVAC certification preferred; 1+ year maintenance experience required; 24/7 on‑call availability with rotation. Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in all seasons are also required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical, vocational or on‑the‑job maintenance experience.
• 24/7 availability for emergency maintenance on call (2 weeks/month).
• Exemplary customer service ethic.
• Emergency maintenance on call; after‑hours weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance service requests to the highest quality standards.
• Prepare apartment units for occupancy; drywall, painting and rough carpentry.
• Ensure physical integrity and curb appeal; report liabilities or improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, major appliances, pool/spa and HVAC systems.

Education

HVAC certification (Type II or Universal)

Your role as part of our Paragon family

• Effectively handles maintenance service requests to the highest level of quality standards
• Prepare apartment units for occupancy - performing basic drywall, painting and rough carpentry
• Ensure the physical integrity and curb appeal of the communities we serve; reporting any potential liabilities or proposed property improvements
• Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical systems, all major appliances, pool/spa equipment and HVAC equipment

Position Requirements

• 1+ years of technical, vocational or on the job maintenance experience
• 24/7 availability for emergency maintenance issues as part of an on‑call rotation (2 weeks per month)
• Exemplary customer service ethic
• Emergency maintenance on call; after‑hours weekends and holidays
• HVAC certified strongly preferred (Type II or Universal); Heating and cooling repairs/replacements
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures
• Must be able to work outdoors for periods of time in all seasons
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High school diploma or equivalent, (required) college‑level/trade school (strongly preferred)
• Reliable and dependable attendance at the work site
• Pre‑employment background check, drug screening and physicals are required before employment begins
