Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep property buildings and grounds in good condition. You will perform daily repairs, prep vacant units, and manage tools and supplies, while adhering to safety policies and on-call requirements.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, plus handyman experience and the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools. On-site, full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for daily repair and upkeep of the property and preparation of vacant units for occupancy.
• Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and property uniform.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Secure the maintenance shop at close of the day.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions and respond to service requests within 24 hours.
