Job summary

The Tipton Group is seeking a dedicated Assistant Maintenance Technician to maintain the apartment community and keep it attractive for current and prospective residents.

Responsibilities include 24-hour on-call emergencies, grounds work, and assisting with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventive maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and bring their own tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Provide/use of own tools.
• Must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, guests and staff.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience; HVAC certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call for 24-hour maintenance emergencies.
• Perform grounds work such as trash pickup and light landscaping.
• Assist with maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and preventive work.
