Job summary

Mercy Retirement & Care Center in Oakland, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. The LVN will provide compassionate care, monitor residents, and collaborate with a team to meet each resident's needs.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Training and Certifications per Title 22 guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and typing.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, peers and employees.
• Completion of a background check, drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and TB test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and effective care and treatments to our residents.
• Work with a team of professionals to ensure residents' needs are met.
• Review routines, calendar of events and resident needs.
• Ensure medications and supplies are ordered, in stock and counted.
• Ensure all charting and record keeping is accurate and complete.
• Attend meetings, trainings; give thorough reports oncoming shift.
• Promote Transforming Age's Culture of Excellence in all responsibilities.
