Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of banquet server or related experience.
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A service-oriented personality; warm, friendly and outgoing.
• Exceptional organization and time management; punctual and reliable.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Display knowledge of wines, spirits and mixed drinks.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency (read/write/speak).
• Experience in a luxury environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for serving all food and beverage functions according to the standards of the Maybourne Beverly Hills.
• Accommodate guests' dietary restrictions, drink preferences, timing requirements and special occasions.
• Offer pre-determined menu selections to each table and know their origin, taste and preparation method.
• Communicate guest orders to Banquet Manager or kitchen; check orders against original.
• Transport items to tables promptly to ensure quality.
• Assist in set-up of linen, china, glass, silver, and accent pieces for each function.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure breakdown, clean-up and set-up of tables, buffets, and stations.
