Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Inc. in Plattsburgh, NY is seeking an LPN/Operating Room Technician (LPN/ORT) for a full-time day shift. You will be a key scrub member handling instruments and equipment during surgeries and may circulate under RN supervision.

The role requires NY LPN licensure, ability to take call, and strong teamwork and patient care skills. On-site work with orientation and mentoring of new staff is included.

Qualificações

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Currently Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
• Meets requirements of pre-employment screening and physical.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Process basic Windows knowledge.
• Must be able to take call as scheduled.
• Must be self-motivated and technically adept.
• Able to handle a high stress level.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• BLS Certified preferred or obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of technical OR equipment and/or Anatomy & Physiology.

Responsabilidades

• An LPN/ORT serves as a primary scrub person, handling instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery.
• May circulate under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Mentor and orient new LPN/ORT staff and coordinate with RNs on instrumentation and equipment.
• Assist in Pre-op and Post-op areas and perform receptionist/clerical duties as directed.
