Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an Intermittent Temp Lifeguard to join the Student Life Rec Sports team. The Lifeguard will ensure patron safety across the aquatic center's seven pools during hours of operation, assist with events, and perform maintenance and chemistry checks. The role requires lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Starting pay is $18.00. The position is intermittent with varying shifts and does not specify a fixed weekly hours;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard & CPR-PR/AED certifications.
• Previous lifeguard experience; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety of patrons at all pools during operation.
• Assists with facility cleanliness, events, setup/teardown, and customer service.
• Performs routine maintenance, pool chemistry checks, and opens/closes facility.
