Job summary

Oak Harbor School District is hiring a Substitute/ Substitute Paraeducator to assist in Kindergarten–Grade 12 classrooms across various settings. This position has no guaranteed hours and is based on employee absenteeism.

Qualified candidates must have a high school graduation or equivalent and meet the State of Washington's Highly Qualified requirement. Responsibilities include tutoring, monitoring student behavior, and performing clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal with special needs students in a warm and confident manner.

Responsibilities

• Work in Kindergarten–Grade 12 classrooms on an on-call basis.
• Tutors students and monitors student behavior.
• Performs clerical duties such as typing and copying.
