Job summary

Advanced Building Maintenance Inc is seeking a dependable Janitor to maintain cleanliness and organization across our sites. The role includes routine cleaning of common areas, restrooms, and meeting spaces, with on-call shifts in Milpitas, CA.

You will disinfect high-touch surfaces, restock supplies, monitor inventory, and report maintenance needs while collaborating with facility teams to ensure safety and infection-control standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and waste according to established guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
