Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring experienced On-Call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business customers nationwide. The primary focus is troubleshooting Windows and macOS, networking, printers, and on-site IT service with opportunities for POS or outdoor TV mounting based on experience.

This is an independent contractor (1099) role with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed hours. You set your availability and we match you with nearby jobs you can complete with your own tools.

Qualifications

• Two+ years IT support/field service experience.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
