Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring an On-Call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business customers. The role focuses on Windows/macOS troubleshooting, network support, printer configuration, hardware upgrades, and occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting.

You will work as an independent contractor, selecting jobs that match your availability across multiple U.S. cities, with on-site pay and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

2+ years of IT support or field service experience.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work independently and deliver professional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Own required tools including a laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester and RJ45 tools.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
Install and configure printers and scanners.
Replace or upgrade hardware components.
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
