Geeks On Site is hiring an On-Call IT Field Technician to support residential and small business customers nationwide. Primary focus includes computer troubleshooting, networking support, printer configuration, and on-site IT services, with occasional POS mounting and outdoor TV mounting based on experience.

The role offers flexible scheduling as an independent contractor with no guaranteed hours; you set availability and drive radius, and we dispatch jobs matching proximity and skills.

Qualifications

Two+ years of IT support or field service experience.
Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work independently and deliver professional customer service.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Own required tools (laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, RJ45 tools).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues.
Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems.
Install and configure printers and scanners.
Replace or upgrade hardware components.
Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
Document work and communicate clearly with customers.
Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling.
Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
