Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to support Windows, macOS, printers, POS, and TV mounting across multiple U.S. cities. This is an independent contractor role with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed hours; you’ll pick jobs that match your route and skills.

You’ll be dispatched to on-site tasks, troubleshoot networks, install hardware, support POS systems, and perform outdoor TV mounting. Own tools and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
