Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring experienced On-Call IT Field Technicians to support residential and small business customers nationwide. Primary focus includes computer troubleshooting, networking, printer configuration, and on-site IT service, with occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting tasks based on experience.

As an independent contractor (1099), you set your availability and drive radius; you’ll receive dispatched jobs matching your proximity and skills, with flexible scheduling and a national brand

Qualifications

• Two or more years of IT support or field service experience.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
