Job summary

Geeks On Site is hiring experienced Field IT Technicians to support residential and small business customers. The role focuses on computer troubleshooting, networking support, printer configuration, and on-site IT service, with occasional POS or outdoor TV mounting tasks based on experience.

As an independent contractor (1099), you will work on a flexible schedule, accepting only the jobs that fit your availability and route, with pay of $35 per hour on-site.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own required tools (laptop, drill, screwdrivers, cable tester, RJ45 tools).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Windows and macOS issues
• Resolve WiFi, router, and wired network problems
• Install and configure printers and scanners
• Replace or upgrade hardware components
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools
• Document work and communicate clearly with customers
• Install and support POS systems and run Cat5e or Cat6 cabling
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup
